I'm an Ex-Academic, with special interest in Early Modern Europe. My (unfinished) dissertation was on academic traditionalism in 17th century Spain. I'm currently a history teacher and a school administrator. I've lived along the Atlantic Seaboard and spent a fair amount of time traveling in Germany, the U.K., Spain, and India.
A really interesting article that talks about the origins of the Advanced Placement Program and its unintended consequences. Not that I'm on an AP kick, but I've just run across these the past few days.
