I'm an Ex-Academic, with special interest in Early Modern Europe. My (unfinished) dissertation was on academic traditionalism in 17th century Spain. I'm currently a history teacher and a school administrator. I've lived along the Atlantic Seaboard and spent a fair amount of time traveling in Germany, the U.K., Spain, and India.
A new report from the Public Library of Science claims that one in eight U.S. high school biology teachers teach that creationism is a valid alternative to Darwinian evolution. I won't editorialize, but the report merits reading.
